Description:
Cardiovascular disease remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality of Canadians. Nurses in almost every specialty need a good foundation in how to assess the cardiovascular function of their patients. In addition, since cardiac events can develop rapidly, they need to know what specific signs and symptoms mean, and how to extend their assessment to conduct a more complete evaluation. This one day workshop will increase your confidence and knowledge of cardiovascular assessment and the myriad of cardiovascular diseases you’ll see in a variety of clinical areas. Most importantly, you’ll leave this webinar series with skills you can apply at the bedside the next day.
