Description:
Pain is one of the most distressing symptoms of hospitalized patients. It is also directly linked to a patient’s satisfaction with their care: they are more likely to report being unhappy with their care if they had unrelieved pain during their stay.  Nurses, physicians and other HCP’s have a major role in effectively relieving the pain and suffering of the people in our care. Join our advanced practice nurse and expert in acute pain management, Danielle Dunwoody, Ph.D,  RN, for this seminal webinar, where she will discuss the principles of pain management, the complexities of acute pain assessment, the common pharmacological agents used to manage pain, the non-pharmacological interventions for acute pain management and patient monitoring in the context of acute pain management.
