Description:
\n<\/b>We generally know Treatment-Resistant Depression<\/strong> to be a subset (thought to be as high as 30%) of Major Depressive Disorder.<\/strong> Treatment-resistant depression or TRD,\u00a0 is when depression does not respond respond to traditional and first-line therapeutic treatments. Patients can suffer greatly for years without relief. In this webinar,\u00a0 we’ll define TRD;\u00a0 explore the risk factors of TRD; learn how to prioritize biological and psycho-social methods in the management of TRD; explain the logic behind the framework of how to manage TRD and discuss some new and developing treatments for treatment-resistant depression. Dr. Rybak is an Associate Professor, the Department of Psychiatry, Western University, in London, Ontario.\u00a0 He currently practises at the Parkwood Institute <\/em>and is a researcher at the Lawson Health Research Institute<\/em>. Dr. Rybak is one of Canada’s leading medical researchers on Treatment Resistant Depression and a\u00a0 significant part of his clinical, educational and research activities are related to Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD) and neuromodulation. He has also contributed to the field of Chronobiology of ADHD and Depression.<\/p>\n
