Loss of sensory perception, along with decreased mobility, are the two most important causes of pressure injuries. Acute care patients with significantly reduced mobility, and patients in long term & continuing care, are those who are at highest risk for these injuries. We’re very pleased to be presenting this two-part webinar on Pressure Injury Insights where in Part A, we’ll explore how to: carefully assess the injury and evaluate the associated risks; gauge healing progress; understand & apply a staging system in your clinical setting; and identify obstacles to healing & how to address them. In Part B we’ll identify: strategies to prevent pressure injuries; techniques to manage them; offloading equipment; resources to develop a comprehensive Pressure Injury Program for your setting, and the benefits of an interprofessional approach.
