\n<\/b>Cardiac Inflammatory Heart disease, <\/b>also known as IHD,\u00a0 <\/b>is a group of diseases that includes pericarditis, myocarditis, and endocarditis. While they sound much the same, they affect different areas of the heart, have different triggers and different implications for treatment and course of illness.\u00a0 Although males appear to be more commonly affected than females, IHD can be seen in any age group. While the disease can be self-limiting leading to full recovery, affected individuals can develop chronic disease, suggesting that identification of primary triggers, including recent concerns around COVID,\u00a0 is critical for successful treatment. We’ll discuss all this, plus how the patient presents on your physical exam, the course of treatment and improving your plan of care to stabilize patients. He has worked in a variety of health care settings with experience in the care and management of patients in cardiac medical, cardiac surgical and interventional cardiology. He has considerable experience in cardiac surgery, acute coronary syndrome, heart failure and dysrhythmia management. Amar is passionate about teaching and has over 5 years of teaching experiences in formal and informal settings.
