Objectives:

\n\u2022\u00a0 Participants will learn about the similarities and differences between creative arts therapy and other expressive modalities
\n\u2022\u00a0 Participants will learn basic knowledge of art materials and their application in clinical work
\n\u2022\u00a0 Participants will learn at least two creative interventions and their application in clinical work<\/p>\n

Art in all its forms is a carrier of powerful emotions that can be used for therapeutic purposes\u00a0 in clinical spaces.\u00a0 Join our certified art therapist,\u00a0Jennifer\u00a0<\/b>Herbert, ATP-BC, LCAT<\/b>\u00a0to learn more about how creative interventions in trauma therapy can be applied in mental health settings, even with the most challenging clients. \nJennifer Herbert has over 18 years of clinical experience as an art therapist and trainer in New York City, working with children, families, and communities affected by trauma, violence, and lack of adequate housing. In her current role, she addresses the cumulative effects of isolation and complex trauma, with an emphasis on both prevention and intervention services.
