\n<\/b>From January to June In Canada, 75% of accidental apparent opioid toxicity deaths involved fentanyl, which continues to be a major driver of the opioid crisis. In this webinar, Dr. Ryan Marino, an emergency physician, medical toxicologist and an addictions medicine specialist, will review the roots of the crisis, the pharmacology of fentanyl, symptoms of toxicity, myths and misconceptions about fentanyl, legal issues, and a look to the future for solutions and future directions surrounding fentanyl.<\/p>\n

Dr. Ryan Marino, MD
\n<\/strong>
\nDr. Ryan Marino is a medical toxicologist, emergency physician and addiction medicine specialist in Cleveland, Ohio, and an assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed medical school, residency and fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh. His work focuses on treatment of substance use disorders and harm reduction.
