Without some systematic way of categorizing the information, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by such a vast amount of information. Our Pharmacology Update webinar series is divided up into the most important classes of medications, and for each class of medications, Barb will summarize the volume of pharmacological information into easier nuggets for recall; and will crystallize the key things you need to know. After first covering the principles of pharmacology, which is an excellent session on absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion that forms the foundation of the other sessions, Barb will discuss the following classes of medications: anti hypertensives, statins, proton pump inhibitors, drugs that prevent ulcers, drugs to treat osteoporosis, diabetes, erectile dysfunction, migraines, anticoagulants, mood stabilizers, drugs for neuropathic pain and more.

Who Should Attend?:
• RNs, NPs, RPNs, & LPNs in acute, community, primary & long term care settings
• Physician Assistants, Dietitians, Chiropractors, Pharmacy Technicians, EMT’s,
• Outpost Nurses, Occupational Health Nurses; Transition Coordinators
• Nurse Practitioners, Tele-Health Nurses, Educators, Managers

Barb Bancroft, RN, MSN, PNP
Barb Bancroft is a widely acclaimed nursing teacher who has taught courses on Advanced Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, and Physical Assessment to both graduate and undergraduate students.
