She has had varied nursing experiences as a Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse manager, transport nurse and staff nurse in a 46 bed Level III NICU and 26 bed Mother Baby unit in Spokane, WA. She was also the liaison between the NICU and inpatient Chemical Dependency Unit for pregnant and parenting women with Substance Use Disorder.\u00a0 She is adjunct nursing faculty at Washington State University.\u00a0 She is an active member of the Washington State Perinatal Collaborative as well as the WA state Pregnant and Parenting Opioid Workgroup.\u00a0 As a member of the Spokane Regional Health District Birth Outcomes Task Force, she was instrumental in the development of \u201cWeed to Know: Marijuana in Pregnancy and Breast Feeding\u201d as well as \u201cNewborn Withdrawal\u201d parent education materials.<\/p>\n<p>She has written numerous clinical papers and has given dynamic and memorable daylong workshops throughout the US and Canada as an invited speaker at national and regional conferences.\u00a0 She is passionate about professional nursing and multidisciplinary collegial relationships.
